leading to the proposal of my thesis project, this model was part of a contextual site analysis, examining several critical factors that contribute to the Los Angeles ‘urban heat island’. the cumulated data was mapped and extruded from a grid of localized points. effects of each contributor on the other became apparent: greater monthly rainfall in concentrated smog areas /highly developed areas, marine layer fog encapsulating smog within basin, etc.
